Jack Petchey Award

Jack Petchey Co-ordinator: Ben Rochford

The Jack Petchey Foundation was established in 1999 by the successful East London entrepreneur, Jack Petchey. It is a young, progressive grant making Trust based in Ilford Essex. It is now among the largest and most influential London charitable foundations. It focuses on projects and programmes that benefit 11-25 year olds.  Jack Petchey wants the Achievement Awards scheme to recognise “extreme endeavour and to help people to help themselves”.

The Jack Petchey Foundation's flagship programme is its Achievement Award scheme – a reward and recognition initiative which enables schools and youth organisations to celebrate the achievements of their young people as well as receive additional funding.

How it works:

Each month, through a nomination and voting process, we will select one young person to receive an Achievement Award.

Each winner receives a framed certificate, badge and £250 which is to be spent for the benefit of the league (based on a wish list which is created by the players, managers and officials of the league).

Cheques, frames, certificates etc. are provided by the Jack Petchey Foundation.

A young person or adult must not receive more than one award during their time at SLL. The award should be given to ONE person.  It  cannot be a joint or group award.
