Attendance at trials?
Those that need to attend trials only need to attend one of the weeks to be eligible for selection, however it's worth noting that those attending both weeks will have more of a chance of selection as they may be seen more from the team managers.
Do I need to do anything ahead of the trials?
You will need to register your child to trial ONLY IF THEY ARE NOT ALREADY IN THE LEAGUE. This can be done via https://my.suttonlittleleaguefootball.com/

Those in years 2, 3, 6, 7 and 10 that are not currently in a team at Sutton Little League do need to attend to trial.

Please can we ask that you bring shin pads for your child for their own protection. Where possible suitable footwear for playing football. If you do not have football boots then we recommend that you wear sports trainers. No metal studs please.
When will I find out if my child gets a place for the new season?
Once both trial sessions have been completed we will host our annual pick nights, these will normally take place by the end of May 2026. Then the team managers will be in contact at the end of May / early June to inform you that your child has been selected. Those not selected will be automatically placed onto our waiting list and we will have gaps that open up over June, July and August to be able to fill more spaces.
How much is it and when do I have to pay?
We are still confirming our 2026/27 registration fees, and we will be able to announce these over the coming couple of weeks. Those taking part in the league for the new season will have to pay a one off registration fee for the season and that is it. There are no weekly fees. This amount will be due by the end of July 2026.
When will football start?
Teams will start to train over the summer, this will depend on the manager availability as they also tend to take holidays and breaks over the summer, however training is not mandatory. The season will commence with our annual opening pre-season tournament on Saturday 5th September 2026.
