League Position Tie Breaker Rules

Following our recent League Committee meeting we would like to clarify details around how the final league tables will be decided should the points end up the same at the end of each half of the season.

In Youth Football, tie breakers are not automatically decided by Goal Difference so we have to clarify how we would do this.

Should two or more teams finish on the same points, the final positions will be decided using the following rules.

1. Total Points

2. Head to Head Points

3. Head to Head Goal Difference

4. Play-off Match

Head to Head Points

This will be the total points that the two tied teams earned against each other in the two fixtures they played against each other.

Head to Head Goal Difference

This will be the goal difference that the two tied teams earned while playing against each other over their two league fixtures.

Play-Off Match

This will be a single play-off match with the winner finishing above the runner-up of the play-off match.
